HEATING AND BOILERS
The day the licensed oil burner technician installs a Fitch Fuel Catalyst on your oil burner you will know how much you are going to be saving on your oil bill. This is because he will be following our company’s installation protocol which requires conducting three combustion efficiency tests on your oil burner. One before the product is installed, one after it is installed and one after changes are made to the nozzles in the oil burner.
The technician will compare the stack temperatures from the before and after testing. Typically these temperatures will rise anywhere from 25 to 70 degrees after running 15 minutes with the Fitch unit installed. The technician will then downsize the nozzle in your oil burner. (these are rated in gallons per hour (gph). This will bring the stack temperatures back to those seen during the first test before the Fitch was installed. This means that you are getting the same heat out of less fuel.
For example, if the nozzle is reduced from a 1.0 gph to a .80 gph you will be saving 20%.
Further savings will come from the reduction of soot and carbon buildup which means that heat transfer will be maximized and the efficiency of the burner will be maintained longer.
NYC Housing Authority Boiler Test
The New York City Housing authority recently conducted a year long test of the Fitch Fuel Catalyst on a large boiler burning 50 gallons per hour.
Mike Beatty from ACS-NY reported, “The data indicate the boilers are running more efficiently and with lower emissions than before the Fitch Fuel Catalyst installation. In addition, the photographs of the tubes and tube sheets clearly indicate a significant carbon reduction.”
The test report states that “carbon deposits were reduced by as much as 70%, which facilitates better heat transfer, efficiency and recued maintenance. Emissions reductions as measured also indicate an overall improvement in combustion.”
“A net reduction in fuel usage on the order of 5 percent and perhaps higher was recorded with the Fitch Fuel Catalyst device installed.”
The report further stated that “fuel savings of 5 percent or higher can produce meaningful fuel cost reductions” and that “savings in maintenance will also be considerable. The Fitch Fuel Catalyst offers very atractive returns on investment. Use of the Fitch Fuel Catalyst is consistent with policies to reduce polution, fuel costs and maintenance throughout the housing authority.”

Payback – Less Than One Season
The Fitch Fuel Catalyst is a permanent fuel treatment device that
reformulates fuel oil prior to use, insuring it is in its optimal
condition at the time of combustion.
Use of the Fitch Catalyst provides a more complete burn extracting
maximum energy from the fuel with minimum emissions.
A more complete burn also means less soot, cleaning maintenance,
and less particulate matter in emissions.
Fortune 500 companies and institutions such as Housing Authorities,
Hotel, and Hospital chains are using the Fitch Fuel Catalyst to
dramatically improve operations. For customers consuming more than
1,000 gallons of fuel oil per year, there is a fuel catalyst model
easily installed that will pay for itself in less than one heating
season and save heating season after heating season.
