OUR INSTALLATION PROTOCOL FOR HEATING UNITS

All oil burner techs are required to follow this procedure when installing a Fitch Fuel Catalyst.

1. Clean and tune the oil burner

2. Run a combustion efficiency test noting emissions, stack temperature and efficiency

3. Install the Fitch unit and run the oil burner for a minimum of 15 minutes

4. Conduct a second combustion efficiency test and compare the stack temperatures

5. The stack temperatures will usually increase 20 to 70 degrees

6. Downsize the nozzle in the oil burner to reduce fuel flow and to return to the first stack temperature reading

7. Conduct a third efficiency test to insure the proper size nozzle was selected and fine tune the fuel-air mixture.

The savings will be the difference in nozzle sizes (example: going from a 1.0 GPH to a .75 GPH represents a 25% savings in fuel). Additional savings will come from the virtual elimination of soot and carbon buildup.
