THE FITCH® FUEL CATALYST

What Kit do I need??

In this section we can hopefully help simplify your choice for one of our kits. They do make installation very quick and easy. They are interchangeable should you sell or replace you current vehicle and get another. We have an every growing list of kits that are being produced for many new models. At this time we have available most kits for most North American cars. We have found that many will fit other models in some applications.

In any case....the problem is fitment. This is where we hope we can help you to understand the procedure for selecting you proper Quick Connect Kit. We are always learning and appreciate customer input about their experiences with their installation. With so many different combinations available it seems confusing at first but hopefully we can help you out here.

1. WHAT TYPE OF CAR DO YOU HAVE?? (ie Make and Model== Ford-Mustang, Chrysler-PT Cruiser)
_______________________________________

2. WHAT YEAR IS IT?
_______________________________________

3. WHAT SIZE IS THE FUEL TANK?(Important if you wish to use our Drop-in system)
_______________________________________

4. WHAT SIZE IS THE ENGINE?? (ie: 2.4 liter?? 350 cu in"??)
_______________________________________

5. FUEL INJECTION OR CARBURETED?? _______________________________________

6. THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF INFORMATION (that can be obtained from any mechanic checking out your vehicle or from your dealership) Most of our kits will come with factory fitting to fit either 5/16th fuel line or 3/8th's size fuel line. These are universal factory type fittings and will fit most North American vehicles So this is a critical issue. If you can provide us with this information about your vehicle it will make it easy to fit you with the proper kit. We are continually working on our data base for fitment to aid us in the future and for reference.

So here is a simplified example vehicle in our format:

1. Chrysler--PT Cruiser

2. 2001

3. 25 Gallon (This would use our F8T Drop-in Kit)

4. 2.4 Liter (We look in the in-line units section and see that this vehicle will use our F300 unit.)

5. Fuel Injection (ie: We know that the Kits labeled with a "G" are not for us . We need one with factory fittings)

6. 5/16th Fuel line ( We use our IN-6-24 Kit, this is a small vehicle and in most applications can be fine with 24 inches of hose)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Below we will attempt to explain our number system to make it easier to understand.

IN-6________IN=Install, 6= 5/16th" hose

IN-6G_______IN=Install, 6= 5/16th" hose, G=Generic meaning hoses hook one end up to the proper Fitch unit (F50 to F300) and the other end are open ends with no fittings. Used to slip over 5/16" fuel line and to be hose clamped on. Used on most carbureted type set ups or where fuel line is rubber and can be spliced into easily. Custom application.

IN-6G-24____IN=Install, 6= 5/16th" hose, G=Generic meaning hoses, 24= 24 inch long hoses. These give length to mount the Fitch unit in the easiest place. Most average vehicles are fine with a 24 inch Kit.

IN-6-24B____IN=Install,6= 5/16th" hose, G=Generic meaning hoses, 24= 24 inch long hoses, B=Big Fittings. These have large fittings to fit the F400 to F1000 units for larger HP engines.

IN-4= Fords

IN-6= 5/16" size hose and fittings

IN-8= 3/8" size hose and fittings

IN-G Any number with a G indicates Generic and that open end hoses are in the Kit.

IN-B Any number with a B indicates BIG Fittings to fit our F400 to F1000 Units used in many trucks and High Horsepower Vehicles.

24,30 or 36 Finally the last number indicates the length of the hoses in inches (ie 24=24 inches) on any kit.We hope this helps you out with your selection. Feel free to call us with any questions you may have.
